Hi Everyone.
I am a great supporter of the SPCA societies, and my entries re information about the current "dog fights" going on at the National Council, are posted so that the public are informed of things that are going on. The public have the right to know!
Remember that each individual SPCA in each little town and city, are run independently, and are autonomous organisations in desparate need of help. The staff are underpaid and work, often under horrendous conditions, doing a job that no-one else is interested in or wants to do, or even admit that the need exists! In addition - they dont even get a government grant or assistence!
The National Council of SPCA's is the government appointed, governing body of these societies who all have to abide by their rules and regulations. The National Council has great power, and can make or break a society.
HOWEVER - Please dont let the information cloud or influence your support for your local SPCA they are doing a fantastic job - with little help! And need every bit of help that we can give them!
