A warm hullo to everyone,
We recently held two wonderfully successful events:-
1. Walk Against Animal Abuse – in aid of the Benoni SPCA which was held last Sunday morning at our Club grounds. We were thrilled to have a really good turnout of dogs and owners of all shapes, sizes and breeds. The Benoni SPCA put on a veritable breakfast feast – and both the dogs and owners tummy’s were full!
Instead of doing the usual boring old walk around a large field, we set up a walk course, complete with obstacles and a meander through the woods and around the pool. A great time was had by all and I would like to thank EVERYONE who helped make the event such a success!
2. Our Carols by Candlelight was a huge success – even though we were struck by a huge thunderstorm, it did not dampen our enthusiasm – nor that of all the wonderful people who attended.
In fact – after we grabbed the electrical equipment and chairs, and headed into the safety of our Club House – we had a cosy, delightful evening.
A huge vote of thanks goes to the Benoni SPCA for supplying the refreshments and to everyone who helped set up and make the evening such a success.
Now how are we going to celebrate Valentine Day????
